IFR is a boutique management consulting firm focusing on bringing to market infrastructure projects with a difference. We focus on providing innovative strategic management consulting services to the US Government and corporations developing projects predominantly in the energy and water sectors in Africa. In a nutshell we assist with: market and risk analysis, strategy formulation, project identification and evaluation, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, project management, and project/investment/export financing. We therefore work closely with clients not only looking to identify green field projects but also to develop and expand existing ones.
To leverage the best interests of clients, projects are undertaken on a long-term and special project basis to ensure client focused execution. Key principles include focusing on energy related sectors, understanding client goals, schedules, budgets, and requirements. All projects and tasks are carried out in strict confidentiality.
It is not about WHAT we do but HOW we do it, which sets IFR apart. We work primarily in Africa because that is what we know best - the languages, the cultures, the people, the networks, the development dynamics, the risks, the returns because … we not only visited the continent once, twice, or ten times, most of our partners were born, raised and worked on the continent for most of their lives and knows intimately how to do business in Africa, how to identify, initiate, negotiate and manage projects.
